this was a commission piece, and a collaboration.

artist Gary Amaro did the pencils, I did the painting.
I'm particularly proud of the little moist gleam on the baby's lip.

this painting contains a number of references to my cousin ben,
including his first and last initial, silver foil (a play on his name),
stamps from china, (where he has lived), maps of china and new york.
There is russian text, and there will be a turkish charm,
reference to his heritage.
