study - coot

I love coots.
they just look so great.
Also, I have a special affinity, when ever I type my name in a document,
spellcheck queries me...
"are you sure you don't mean COOTS?"

I'm working on a childrens book I've written that's been languishing in my file cabinet, it's set at the bird sanctuary at oakland's lake merrit. Starting to gear up to work on it again, doing studies of waterbirds.
